It has really been warming up around here…a litte too warm!! I can’t complain though the weather has been absolutely gorgeous and I am sooo ready for spring! I love this time of year when all of the flowers start to bloom, the weather is warm and all of the new beauty trends launch! This year it is all about COLOR!! This is applicable to both clothes and cosmetics, as seen evident with the tons and tons of colored denim everywhere!! Note: Colored Denim is NOT for everyone {ME} so don’t feel bad if you too fit into this category!
I have put together a little collage of some of my favorite SPRING beauty trends… and they are:
Luminous/glowy skin - Skin is in this year and the goal is too have that “freshfaced” natural look! I love MAC’s new Mineralize concealers because they are light but still give a good amount of coverage without looking heavy! Pair this with a mineralize powder and you are good to go!
Bright Lips – I LOVE a bright lip!! There are soooo many ways to achieve this look. You can go the extreme pigmented look with a matte lipstick or just a tint of the shade in a gloss for a more subdued effect!
Winged out Liner – This is my girl, Angelina Jolie’s signature look!! My absolute FAVORITE eyeliner is MAC’s fluidline in Blacktrack!! It goes on so smooth and stays put! This is a must for me as I hate it when my eyeliner smears onto my upper and lower lid after a couple hours of wear!! Now, I couldn’t put a pic of Angelina without including Jen too! She is the perfect representation of what this season’s look is all about. Perfect Hair..Check, Glowing skin…Check, Big “look at me” lashes…check! I have always loved how understated, yet polished she looks and in this case less is more!!
Bright Nails – I love love love all of the new colors out by OPI and ESSIE this spring! I find it a must in my beauty regiments to get regular manicures as my hands are often the center of attention!! There is just something about pretty polished nails that make me SMILE!!
Cheeks – The goal is to have just that sunkissed look and MAC makes some great blushes that will help you achieve just that! {Peachykeen, Springsheen, just to name a couple!}
So Pretty much just look at any current Victoria Secret model and you will see just how you need to look this Spring {if only I had the body too} LOL
